Caucus for Katie
I am running for DFL endorsement. In order to make your voice heard and shape the future of Ward 7 and the DFL party please sign up here to “Caucus for Katie” at the DFL precinct caucus on April 8, 2025. The caucus will be held in person in your neighborhood in the evening on April 8. It’s a really important aspect in the democratic process. If selected as a delegate at the caucus meeting, you will be invited to the Ward 7 Endorsing Convention on Sunday May 10, 2025 where you can join your neighbors in voting for me for DFL endorsement.
If you have any questions about the caucus or convention, you can reach out to the Minneapolis DFL or reach out to me and my team directly and we’ll help you out.

Your Voting Options
Vote on Election Day
One easy way to cast your ballot is to vote on Election Day. In 2025, Election Day falls on November 4th — a Tuesday. Polls will be open from 7am to 8pm. If you have moved addresses or changed your name since the last time you voted, make sure to bring proof-of-residence documents so you can register at the polls, or pre-register online beforehand up to 21 days out from the election! Remember — you are entitled to PAID time off to go vote!
Vote Early In Person
To vote in-person before Election Day, go to the Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services Building at 980 E Hennepin Ave from September 19 to November 3!
Vote Early by Mail
The other option to vote before Election Day is voting by mail! To vote by mail, you must complete a vote-by-mail application and submit it by email, mail, in-person, or by fax. The city recommends requesting a ballot at least 14 days prior to Election Day and allowing seven days when mailing in your ballot.
Registering to Vote
In order to vote in Minnesota, you must first register. If you have moved addresses or changed your name since you last voted, you will need to reregister.
There are a few options for registering to vote. The first is to pre-register online or with a paper form. This can be done up to 21 days before Election Day. The second is to register on Election Day by bringing proof-of-residence documents with you when you go to vote at your neighborhood polling place.
Using Ranked Choice Voting
In Minneapolis, we use ranked choice voting (RCV) to choose our elected city officials. Instead of marking just one choice on each race, we are able to rank multiple candidates in order of preference. Make sure to rank Katie #1!
If any candidate receives more than 50% of first choice votes, that candidate wins! If not, the lowest vote-getters are eliminated and their totals redistributed to their voter’s next choices until one candidate has a majority.
Unofficial vote tabulations are usually available on Election Night or the next day.
